Vista del Sol
Vista del Sol is one of the original buildings in the Playa los Muertos section of Puerto Vallarta. It is sited directly on the beach, close to the Rio Cuale and all the popular activities of the area. One of the few buildings with an elevator (actually, two!), it offers a heated salt-water rooftop pool, unique to the area, with spectacular view of the ocean and the mountains to the east. The pool has a shaded area in one portion of the pool deck, showers and changing room facilities. There is a new popular restaurant, the Sea Monkey, on the lower level on the building, with full ocean views.
The location of this building is possibly the best in the city. It is sited right off the Malecon, the world-famous promenade featuring artwork and statues, including the Seahorse statue you’ve seen in the photos. The Malecon is your walking link to the downtown area. Within a five-minute walk over the Rio Cuale bridge, you will be in the heart of the downtown district. The famous Iglesia de Guadalupe with the intricate iron-worked crown, the street food, the artists and musicians, right along the ocean – what more could you ask for? People from all over the world enjoy this stroll, including local families.
Vista del Sol is ideally suited for families or two couples traveling together. All the units are spacious two bedroom/two bath condos, generally with the second bedroom offering twin beds that can be made up into a king. Daily (except Sunday/holiday) maid service makes your life easy. A common laundry room, 24/7 secure Front Desk service and internet room/library completes the package. Mobility issues? The handicapped-accessible entry, ground floor level elevators that go clear up to the pool deck, and spacious units, make Vista del Sol open to everyone.
This is one of the units available to you. Being located on the side, it has a partial ocean view from the secure, enclosed terrace off the living area. It is on the entry level, and elevated about ten feet off the quiet dead-end street. I have stayed here myself and enjoy the quick access to the beach. No excuses to miss the sunset! Ideal for families traveling with kids. One of the elevators up to the pool area is located just steps away. The master bedroom enjoys a partial ocean view, while the second bedroom looks out into the quiet courtyard with its seating areas and plantings.
